The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 places a “duty of care” on employers and landlords to maintain electrical systems and complete periodic electrical testing and inspections in accordance with BS 7671 (The IEE Wiring Regulations). Fire Compliance Services have a dedicated team of electricians available, with rapid response times providing a reliable and friendly customer service.

Our team of electricians provide a comprehensive list of electrical tests to keep you safe and compliant

  • Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)

An Electrical Installation Condition Report is required as all electrical installations deteriorate over time. It is recommended that electrical installations should be inspected and tested every 3 to 5 years.
  • Electrical Installations, Modifications and Rewires

Our team of electricians are fully trained and qualified to carry out routine electrical installations, modifications and rewires, including consumer unit upgrades.
  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)

A full PAT test should include both a visual inspection and a check using specialist PAT testing equipment. This test includes earth continuity, lead polarity, and insulation resistance checks. Every appliance will be marked ‘passed’ or ‘failed’ at the end of the PAT test.
  • Electrical Certificates

Our approved electricians can provide any periodic testing so that an electrical certificate can be produced. This is often the time that you will find out if any electrical circuits or equipment are overloaded plus identifying any potential electric shock risks and fire hazards.
